Propolis Diffusers

Diffuser Accessories
All Propolair propolis diffusers, made by Kontak, are designed to operate in a very subtle way regulated by a thermostat to maintain precise temperature ranges to ensure that the qualities of the propolis are released in the most effective form. This means that the units do not burn exceptionally hot and that the scent of the propolis is quite subtle.
Unlike essential oil diffusers, propolis diffusers require no water or oil, producing no visible steam or vapor, and there is little to no sound, depending on whether the diffuser has a fan or not. Units with a fan provide more excellent square footage coverage than units without a fan, but all effectively release propolis.
Diffusers equipped with fans have a coverage area of 646 ft² when the fan is active compared to 269 ft² without a fan. It activates briefly (4-5 seconds), then turns off for a longer interval (15-20 seconds), and then repeats. The A4 model uniquely offers a continuous fan mode called aerosol for direct inhalation.
After 122 hours of use, your Propolair diffuser will signal with beeps and blinking lights that it is time to reset. Press and hold the power button until you hear a solid beep followed by a series of beeps. Release the power button at this point to complete the reset. You can now add a new capsule, and the diffuser will be ready for a new 122-hour cycle.
Be aware that for all models, the old capsule never burns to emptiness, and it will have a substantial amount of residue in the tube when it is time to reset the diffuser. This is normal, and what remains is an inert residue devoid of any active constituents after 122 hours of use. Never reuse an old capsule.
All Propolair propolis capsules available on our website are compatible with all diffuser models. The BIO capsule contains 100% organic Italian propolis, while the P+B capsule includes 95% Italian propolis and 5% Boswellia, suitable for both physical spaces and inhalation. Other capsules, which are blends of 80% propolis and 20% essential oils, are recommended for environmental treatment only and should not be used for tube and mask inhalation.
To effectively combat mold using Propolair diffusers, avoid running air purifiers or air filters simultaneously, as they will filter out the propolis. Instead, alternate their use, such as running the diffuser at night and the purifier during the day. Customer testimonials suggest running the diffusers continuously for 2-3 weeks, 24 hours a day, to address mold issues. After this period, assess your needs to determine the optimal usage frequency.
It is advised to expose yourself and others to propolis vapor in a room setting for a few hours, even if not intending to do inhalation immediately. Avoid using the tube and mask right away, especially for children. After exposure in a room without issues, allow the diffuser to heat up for 5-10 minutes before using the tube and mask for a brief time, perhaps 10-15 minutes, to observe any reactions. Customer testimonials suggest that inhalation sessions of 15-30 minutes 1-2 times a day can be helpful for respiratory issues. For chronic situations, the manufacturer suggests following this procedure for up to 7 days, followed by a rest period of 3 days, and then repeating as needed. Always consult your healthcare provider to determine the best approach for your situation.
The optimal model for tube and mask inhalation is the A4, which includes a tube, two masks (child and adult), and an inhalation program called Aerosol mode in addition to a Room mode. Tubes and masks can also be used with models that do not have an ionizer (A1, L1) or models that allow turning it off (A2). Because of the design of the Breathe and Propolina(Honey Bee) diffusers, it is not possible to use a tube and mask with these models.
If you experience side effects while using the diffuser, it is recommended to start with limited exposure, for example, 30 minutes to 1 hour. Gradually increase the exposure time to 1 hour, half a day, a night, etc. Begin in a sufficiently open space before transitioning to a smaller room. Before attempting inhalation, ensure that you tolerate diffusion in your environment well.
